THOMAS DEGEN

Thomas Degen (THD) found inspiration in the overlooked – the ordinary, the modest, the unnoticed.

Through his lens, such moments were transformed, casting them in a renewed light. His creative process was guided by the search for inner images mirrored in outer reality. Vivid, saturated colors became a defining feature of his work. By experimenting with both brief and prolonged exposure times, Degen explored visual phenomena beyond the limits of human perception.

“We only ever see a tiny fraction of reality.” — Thomas Degen (1955–2021)
